About DeSaltM
Membrane Processes are decentralized, low-cost, eco-friendly, and renewable energy-driven and has gained tremendous market value in regions where traditional water sources are scarce or contaminated. The Centre of Excellence (CoE) on Membrane Technologies for Desalination, Brine Management, and Water Recycling has been established with the aim of developing state-of-the-art technologies with five IITs (IITB, IITD, IITKGP, IITT, and IITH) and other stakeholders from industries and NGOs to provide various desalination, brine management, and water recycling technologies.
-
To develop strategies and technologies for desalination, sustainable treatment, and reuse of water.
-
To translate the water technologies based on membrane using the resources, mechanisms and knowledge acquired and close the innovation loop.
-
To have active engagement with researchers and the innovators across the country and abroad.
-
Incubation and commercialization of developed technologies and products.
